About Arboleas itself

Arboleas, situated slightly inland, at the foot of the Sierra de los Filabres Mountains, but, nevertheless, within 30 minutes’, or so, drive, via excellent road links, of the coastal tourist resorts of Mojacar and Garrucha, is typical of all that is good on the Costa Almeria, for both traditional holidaymakers, and Spanish property investors alike.

The old town of Arboleas features narrow, cobbled streets, and “La Primitiva Iglesia” (“The Primitive Church”), which dates back to the 15th century, and is surrounded by olive groves, citrus orchards and fields of wheat and barley – testament to the importance of agriculture to the area – and traditional Spanish fiestas – with wine, paella, music and entertainment – are regular occurrences throughout the spring and summer months.
